On 21 May 1986, bonprix was first entered into a trade register in Germany. We had a total of ten employees and were working towards producing a 32 page catalogue.
Our first international launches in France and Poland.

The very first bonprix Fashion Store opens in Hamburg.
Record sales in excess of a billion DM.
We launch bonprix in Belgium.
Greece, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic join the growing list of countries we operate in.
Online shops are launched in Estonia, the United Kingdom, Latvia and Switzerland.

We expand into Ukraine.
The acquisition of swimwear brand Venus sees us enter the US market. A new bonprix online shop is also launched in Sweden.
Romania is bonprix’s latest market. The new claim “bonprix – it’s me” embodies the brand.
The very first mobile shop for smartphones and tablets is launched in Germany before being rolled out internationally.
Brazil and Kazakhstan are the latest members of the bonprix family.
