The focus of the fourth Sustainable Collection, which bonprix is launching today in Germany and 19 other countries, is once again on innovative materials and organic cotton. Among the 25 new styles are items made from sustainable fleece and corduroy for the first time, as well as clothing certified by the Green Button. The collection once again demonstrates bonprix's commitment to anchoring fair and environmentally conscious fashion in its range. In 2021, the Otto Group company aims to significantly increase the number of sustainable items across all ranges.

Starting today, customers can shop a total of 25 new sustainable styles from the fourth Sustainable Collection at bonprix. From classic quilted jackets and vests to denim products, dresses and tops in soft viscose quality, to items made from trendy corduroy, the sustainable autumn/winter collection offers fashionable, comfortable casual wear for the cold season.

For the fourth time, bonprix is focusing on resource-saving, sustainably produced fashion made from materials such as organic cotton, polyester recycled from PET bottles, TENCEL™ Lyocell and LENZING™ ECOVERO™, currently the most ecological viscose fibre on the market. New additions to the collection include stretch corduroy and fleece made from organic cotton, as well as a specially produced fabric made from LENZING™ ECOVERO™ in the ‘Punto di Roma’ (densely woven jersey) quality, which is popular with bonprix customers. Sustainable accessories are also being used again: buttons and zips contain tape made from recycled polyester, which helps to save water, energy and chemicals during production.

Two styles from the Sustainable Collection are also certified with the Green Button. The seal, which was launched a year ago by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, sets strict social and ecological requirements for the production of textiles and thus provides valuable guidance for consumers. bonprix decided early on to support this initiative and launched a Green Button baby collection at the beginning of 2020. The autumn/winter season also sees the launch of a range of new sustainable styles, ensuring that even the youngest bonprix customers are fashionably equipped for the coming season. In total, bonprix is adding 160 Green Button certified items for babies to its range this year.

More sustainable items in the overall range from 2021

"Our sustainable and certified products make our diverse corporate responsibility activities tangible and experiential for our customers. We want to continue along this path and further increase our share of sustainable products in 2021 – across our entire fashion and living range," explains Rien Jansen, Managing Director of Purchasing, Marketing and Retail at bonprix Handelsgesellschaft and responsible for the corporate responsibility strategy, making it clear that commitment to sustainability will remain high on the agenda at bonprix.
